This year we are holding our annual sale on the 23rd of March at 2:30pm on the Auctions Plus platform. Please note that our selling agent has changed to Webb & Woodiwiss this year and we are offering a 6% commission to outside agents. We will have our sale team yarded for inspections on Sunday the 21st from 10am to 2pm and on the sale day, the 23rd of March from 1pm on. The sale includes a group of select stud females and our pick of the 2019 bull drop. We will have light refreshments available on the open day and sale day.
Our selected group of females will be made up of mixed age mature cows, they will all be pregnancy tested. All our females calve in spring and are joined AI and to Richmond Hill sires. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase some of the family lines that have worked so well for us over many years. These are all proven cows that have performed well in our herd and have raised a good calf year after year.
All the sale bulls are pasture raised to ideal condition for longevity. They have been scanned, structurally and temperament assessed in January by Bovine Scanning Service. They are semen and pesti tested and are guaranteed for 12 months. All the bulls have been sire verified and genomics tested. This is an opportunity to purchase top genetics that are proven to perform well in Tasmania. Our sale team will include bulls by LD Capitalist, Sons of Reality, Traction and more. This will be the first year we have LD Capitalist sons available, they are showing loads of muscle, maturity and ideally suited to grass fed operations.
We have been building our base herd for over 60 years with genetics from over the world. Our cattle are selected on what performs in our environment. They are pasture raised and the only supplementary feed given is hay through the winter.
